Privacy
BanterFPL turns a Fantasy Premier League mini-league ID into a stats pack. This page explains, in plain English, exactly what the site does with data. No lawyer-speak, no hidden clauses.
The short version
- We don't have accounts. We don't ask who you are.
- League IDs are used to fetch data that is already public in the FPL game, and we cache the result so the site stays fast.
- We store no personal data about visitors — no profiles, no tracking across other sites.

_gacookies only loads after you press Accept. - We remember your cookie choice in your browser's local storage so we don't ask again — that's strictly necessary, not a tracking cookie.
League IDs and FPL data
When you enter a mini-league ID, we ask the official FPL API for that league's standings and the public information about the managers in it — the same data anyone can already see inside the FPL game. We compute the stats pack from that and cache it server-side (Cloudflare KV) so repeat visits and other members of your league don't trigger the whole rebuild again.
The cache holds this public league data on a short expiry. We do not combine it with anything else, and we do not use it to identify or profile you. If you can see a league in the FPL game, its data is already public; we're just doing arithmetic on it.
Analytics (optional, off by default)
We'd like to know roughly how many people use the site and which pages get used — nothing more. For that we use Google Analytics (GA4), and only if you accept the cookie banner:
- Nothing analytics-related loads until you press Accept.
- If you press Reject, or ignore the banner, no analytics script is ever added to the page.

When it is enabled, IP addresses are anonymised (
anonymize_ip) so we never see a full address. -
Once accepted, Google Analytics sets a small set of
_gacookies (for example_gaand a_ga_*identifier) to count visits — it's a handful of cookies, not just one. - Changed your mind? Use Cookie settings in the footer to withdraw consent — the banner comes back and, on your next page load, analytics stops loading.
Google Analytics is a Google product; when active it processes data under Google's own terms. We keep the footprint minimal and consent-gated.
Separately, we remember your cookie choice itself in your browser's local
storage (a small bfpl-consent value). That's strictly
necessary to honour your decision and is not a tracking cookie — it never
leaves your browser and isn't sent to us or anyone else.
What we never do
- No visitor accounts, logins, or passwords.
- No selling or sharing of data for marketing.
- No fingerprinting or cross-site tracking of our own.
